beakan's pearch is where you end up after the second mission in the northern shiverpeaks, and droknar's forge is an area quite a bit south of that that has the best armor stats in the game for the least money - anything more expensive is just for show

they only exist because ArenaNet has nerfed any other way to make money quickly....people will innevitably find other ways to farm...only now they're farming other players rather than mobs.

Whats all this money for? And where are these farms? Only farms I have seen in the game was in pre-searing and was no money there that I saw, just worms and seeds!

I have yet to buy an item from another player, or sell for that matter. I always have enough money for armor I want to buy, and a good enough weapon for my char's level and its.. Fun..

I've never experienced this but i've noticed theres alot more childish people pre-searing, all running around offereing "Bj's for 10gold" and acting the fool.

roflmao...I have noticed that some of the female characters offer to take their clothes off for gold. I find it disturbingly humerous

I don't farm....I've never had a need to. But the patch that killed it also killed any decent drops. I haven't gotten anything worth picking up, other than materials, since the patch. I don't play as often as others do, probably an hour or so a day(if I'm lucky), but I have a Purple Vampiric Bow, a Purple Ascalon Bow, and a Purple Ebon Brute Sword....all that I managed to get in drops before the patch....since the patch I haven't bothered to pick up a damn thing.....I don't mind if they implement a 'nerf' to farming without killing the drops...like I said I don't farm.

I have to say that since the patch I have actually got More drops, not just in quanitity, but quality as well. I unlocked a major rune of earth outside Yak's bend last night, and then a major rune of tactics for my warrior 15 minutes later. I have even got some purple while out with just henchies which is a first for me.

The days of the monking fee are going to be over soon I'm betting. I was grouping with my alt in Frost Gate the other day and ended up in a five person group with three monks. Its happened to me a bunch lately in the Kryta area. Being a monk is trendy!

I never have, never will, and never will even think about having my monk charging for being in a group. That is completely foolish. Whenever somebody allows me to enter their group, I say hello and I thank them for the group they have let me enter.

Those are most likely people's second characters after they completed the game first with their class of choice and noticed the monk shortage. They wanted in on the monk action

I once saw someone saying they will pay for someone to take them somewhere or another. I ended up PMing them and telling him that he shouldn't have to pay for that. Since I had never been where he was going I spent nearly 10 minutes trying to help him find someone to take him there *sigh*

Regarding the OP: I guess this is what happens when a game has no real community to speak of? People are not people that aare also playing the game, they are just another way to make a few gold coins. Sad.

There are still plenty of places to farm, just not both for runes AND money, at least not that I know of. If you want runes, do giants. I average 1.5 purples per run and a gold every 3 or so runs. If you want money, do blessed griffons or mountain trolls, I'd say probably 20-30k an hour from doing those, not to mention insane exp.
